nicknames....

let's just say that i have never been a person that was short of nicknames. i wonder why .am i like so nice to give nicknames to.everything that i am involved in and most ppl i know end up giving me nicknames.some have been really bad while some are just plain pathetic.here is the first one.
1. wei
ok this one started way back in pri school. i think it was stephanie.she started calling me wei when we were in pri6 and then it kinda stuck. b4 i knew it, kavita and sharmela starting calling me wei as well. so far these are the only 3 ppl who has ever called me wei. since i do not hear many ppl call me this except them, i tend not to answer to this cos i am only accustomed to these voices calling me wei.so nobody should ever try calling me wei besides them as all you will get is a cold shoulder.hehe
2.kavita's nicknames for me
since i have known kavita most of my life, i have been able to acquire alot of nicknames from her.you see,unlike sharmela who is able to stick to only one nickname for me....kavita has to change it regularly.some of the nicknames that she has given me which were regularly used was......chloe-chai-chubchub, kitty-kitty and panda-weewee.there may have been more but i can't remember them.like i said, there are so many thus making it impossible for me to remember them all.i mean i do need to remember other things apart from the nicknames kavita has given me rite.i should make one thing clear though, i do NOT like any of this nicknames.so don't ever dare try it on me-unless you are kavita.
3. cleanliness ah ma
this one i received from band. yup,i was the 'cleanliness mistress' of the band.apart from being section leader in band, miss tan thought that i should take care of the cleanliness of the music room as well. this of course meant that it was my head on the chopping block if the room was dirty. therefore, i made a section stay back every week after practice to clean up the bloody room. while they cleaned,i would stand on the stage at the conductor stand with a feather duster and scold wave it at anyone who i thought was slacking at their work.i would also use the feather duster to point at any rucbbish i could see from where i was. my action of waving the feather duster plus my high pitched voice and screaming made the juniors and fellow friends give me the nickname cleanliness ah ma. this came around in form4 and it stuck until i left school. let's just say that this wasn't so bad as it makes the juniors actually listen to me so that they do not get punished by the 'scary' cleanliness ah ma. lol.
4.muka singa
i know i do not seem to be the most kuai student or disciplined but i WAS prefect.yep,that's rite. while i was prefect i paticularly hated to be in 'unit pengawasan kelas' (sorry natasha).it wasn't that Natasha the 'ketua unit' back then was mean....it was just that the students on the floor that i always had to 'jaga' was paticularly nasty and loved to argue. so i kinda ended up not smiling during my duty and spoke in really harsh tones to them. in fact i think i never really spoke to them,i more like odered them around. it was the only way i could get them to listen to me. so in the end, the students started to hate me as i always chastised them with my harsh tone and stern face that they called me muka singa. up to this day, i do not understand why they used singa.....could it be that i look like a lion when i am not smiling?hmmm......
5.cho
this was recently given to me bye gertrude since she started chatting.according to her my name is too long to type.i mean come on....my name is 5-letters long.no1 else has ever had a problem with typing c-h-l-o-e out but her. sigh.so yea,now she calls me cho on9 and i am still not used to it.sometimes i even think that she is typing into the wrong convo......
6. kiwi
when we were in form4 , we were a floating class but our main classroom was the physics lab. so me,kher lee,gertrude,michelle, ah toh and claudia sat at one table. we were ALWAYS talking.all of us but claudia had motor mouths so we could talk non stop all day. when we ran out of things to talk about, we would find things to do.so one day.due to extreme boredom we gave each other other names.being born in NZ,they decided to call me a kiwi.but they did not mean kiwi as in New Zealanders they meant the bird!!they said that i was like the kiwi bird.round and fluffy.sigh....where in the world can a person have friends who compares them to a kiwi bird but me.just my luck....but i love them all the same.
7.senior
another one from band. my clarinet juniors especially the younger ones have a habit of calling me this. i feel flattered that they respect me but.....it makes me sound old. some of them even rub it in more by saluting me as they say it.hahah...apparently i was really mean to my first batch of juniors ito my friends so they manage to joke about my meaness untile it somehow spread around. since word had spread around, by the time i gt my new batch of juniors in form4 the new ones were all afraid of me because of the stories they had heard.at first it was out of respect i think but as they got to know me.....they noticed that calling me senior annoyed me and they did it for fun.
8.aunty chai
ah,the most recent one.this is a bit embarassing......due to a moment of nosiness(is this even a word??),i asked richard something.before i knew it,he started calling me aunty chai because i was nosy like one of those old aunty's in the cantoneses series.sigh...i can't say i dont deserve it since i was nosy but i don't like it either. makes me sound so old......and i am not even older than richard.hmph....
ok so i that is all the nicknames i can think of.i am sure that they are plenty more but i think 8 to a person excluding family nicknames(which i shall not disclose) is alot. who knows how many more nicknames i can get here. i think beatrix is gonna start calling me PA(personal alarm clock) soon....she was calling me tat for awhile earlier on today.let's hope that it doesn't stay.*fingers cross*.......lol.
